Meet our Pastor & Youth Pastor
Pastor Troy Carter and Mrs. Jess
Pastor Troy was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.
In 1991, he graduated from North Side Christian School, a ministry of Shawnee Baptist Church. He then attended Pensacola Christian College, where he graduated in 1996. While in Pensacola, FL, he met his charming wife Jessica Hammond.
They married in 1996 and have three children: Hannah, Caleb, and Joshua.
For fourteen years, Pastor Troy served as the Director of Hoosier Hills Baptist Camp in Dillsboro, Indiana. He then came to East Side Baptist Church in February of 2011 to be the youth pastor & camp director.
In June 2014, Pastor Troy became pastor of East Side Baptist.
Youth Pastor Caleb and Jordan Carter
Caleb was born and raised in the small town of Dillsboro, Indiana, he had the privilege to grow up as a camp director's kiddo at Hoosier Hills Baptist Camp.
When Caleb was twelve years old, his family moved to Asheboro, North Carolina, where he had the privilege of becoming both a youth pastor and a pastor's kid. In 2018, he was accepted into Pensacola Christian College and graduated in 2021 with his Bachelor of Arts in Bible with a concentration in Youth Ministry.
A year later, Caleb married his wife Jordan, who graduated from Pensacola Christian College with her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. They married in Jordan's hometown Asheboro, North Carolina, in May of 2022 at East Side Baptist Church.
